Dear readers. If you have some free time this week it may be a good idea to stop by your local thrift, charity, or opportunity shop. It is the end of the calendar year and folks are donating their used and useful items after the Christmas holiday, but prior to the new year for income tax deduction purposes.
Today I saw lots of donations being made while I made my rounds to the local thrift shops! One store even had all the clothing discounted fifty percent because their racks were overflowing! Perhaps you have some items you could donate?
Without further ado, here are today’s scores:
Glass Starbucks mug. $1. Golden basket. $0.25.
Soft Surroundins black wool cardigan sweater with taffeta accent trim. $3.
Black quilted Gap jacket for darling daughter. $2.
IKEA framed black cat art. $3.
I just started two gallery walls of black framed art in the upstairs hallway leading to the loo. Here is what we have so far:
It is a very narrow hallway so I apologize for the bad photography.
I plan to add some artwork by one of my all time favorite artists, Susan Farrington, to the wall soon. I am going to order from her Etsy shop. I love her art! And I have some Christmas gift cash burning a hole in my pocket!
Happy Thrifting!
Yours, Merryweather
