The Best Apple Pie

Ok. So you like apple pie? Try this:
Fill a pie plate with peeled, reasonably thinly sliced apples. Any varieties, any combination of varieties will do. Shoot, I have been known to throw some pears in the mix. Go for it! Sprinkle with sugar (white or brown, again, you decide!) and cinnamon. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In microwave safe container, melt one and a half sticks of butter (no substitutions!!!) in microwave. Add in one cup flour, one cup sugar, one egg, half a cup of chopped walnuts (or other nuts or even no nuts), and a pinch of salt. Stir until mixed. This is your pie crust! Easy peasy! Place pie plate filled with apples on foil lined cookie sheet. This is important to save yourself clean up hassles. You will thank me for not having the pie overflow onto your oven. Dump the crust over the apples. Bake until golden brown. Remove from oven to cooling rack. Serve warm or cold for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or even as a snack! Vanilla ice cream or cheddar cheese is optional. Enjoy!
