Darling daughter has done it! She has been accepted as a member of the Class of 2018 at Georgetown University! I am so happy for her!
Darling daughter’s transfer from the small, all women’s liberal arts college in Massachusetts to GU will mean that we are going to stay put in our “enchanted cottage” in Maryland for the next three years. No kidding. That is what the real estate agent I was going to relist the house with called it today when I contacted her to let her know I am not selling now.
So my dreams of relocating to New England are on hold for now. I am ok with that. My friends in Maryland are delighted I am staying. I am delighted, too, because now I can get my puppy!
I have wanted a yellow Labrador for some time. My best friend has a yellow lab named Maggie, but we call her Poo. I love that dog. Of course, I had puppy envy when Dan and Nancy adopted Etta. But I wanted to get resettled before I introduced a puppy into the mix. Now I have some time before any relocation to raise a puppy.
I told darling daughter of this added benefit of her transfer to Georgetown and that got her excited too. Who doesn’t love a puppy?
I am so happy for and proud of darling daughter! She is a mover and shaker. This girl is making things happen!
