Now that introductions have been made, I have got to get busy. My plan is to photograph the dishes, wrap them up safely and securely (i.e. better than the quick job in newspaper at the auction Friday night), list them for sale on Etsy, and stash them until the discerning buyer scoops them up. Then I will need to build a special box lined with styrofoam to ship them. There are forty-two pieces of loveliness. The pattern is Sherwood produced in the 1940s by Syracuse China. I would keep them, but we are absolutely overrun with dishes here in the enchanted cottage!
